Supreme Court Vacancy Spotlights Importance of Minnesota Senate Race

EAGAN, Minn. — With President Trump announcing his nominee for the Supreme Court this Saturday, the stakes of Minnesota’s Senate race have been elevated even more. This comes on top of growing momentum for Jason Lewis and President Trump, with Minnesota already seen as a pivotal swing state, as well as recent polls showing Jason Lewis and Senator Smith statistically tied. 

“The heated politics of the U.S. Supreme Court vacancy are spilling into Minnesota’s Senate race, with U.S. Sen. Tina Smith and Republican challenger Jason Lewis pressing opposite views on an issue that could reframe the presidential election,” the Star Tribune noted this week.
