Latest Endorsement Reaffirms Lewis is THE Law & Order Candidate
September 14th, 2020
EAGAN, Minn. — U.S. Senate candidate Jason Lewis released the following statement after receiving the endorsement of the Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis, reaffirming his position as the law and order candidate.
“I am proud and humbled to accept the endorsement of the Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis. From marrying a police officer, I learned firsthand that nobody dislikes a bad cop more than a good cop. But rather than have conversations about how to support our brave men and women of law enforcement and ways we can improve the profession, Senator Tina Smith has gone all in with the defund the police movement,” said Lewis.
“The law enforcement profession in America is under unrelenting and unprecedented attack. Just this weekend two police officers were shot in an ambush, and police officers nationwide are being vilified and targeted like never before. This hostile environment is undoubtedly a symptom of the radical ‘defund the police’ movement, and Democrats like Senator Tina Smith are adding to this toxic culture by blatantly undermining law enforcement and jeopardizing public safety. This cannot stand and it will not stand when I’m your U.S. Senator,” Lewis concluded.
Lewis also recently announced new television, radio, and digital ads entitled “Dangerously Wrong,” highlighting Senator Tina Smith’s inflammatory and dangerous anti-law enforcement rhetoric as well as her endorsement of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. Due to the influx of support from across the country, the ad buy has been expanded to Minneapolis/St. Paul broadcast TV as well.
