Lewis Continues to Gain Momentum as Trump Campaign Focuses on Minnesota
September 11th, 2020
EAGAN, Minn. — U.S. Senate candidate Jason Lewis joined Lara Trump at three Twin Cities metro area stops on Thursday as a part of the Trump campaign’s continued focus on Minnesota. Lara Trump’s visit is the latest proof that Minnesota has become the swing state to watch in the 2020 election.
“With Lara Trump’s visit yesterday and President Trump’s planned visit next week, the Trump campaign continues to prove they are all in on Minnesota, and for good reason. Minnesotans see the destructive policies of the far-left and they’ve had enough,” said Lewis. “From radical proposals like the defund the police movement to never-ending COVID lockdowns, Democrats have alienated Minnesotans of all political stripes. A revolution is in the works here in Minnesota—the state’s decades-long blue streak will come to an end this November. We are going to win, and the President is going to win.”
As noted by MinnPost yesterday, the Trump campaign’s continued visits to Minnesota as well as their heavy spend on ads in the state is indicative of the fact that they see Minnesota as a key pick-up opportunity. But the presidential race isn’t the only race to watch here in Minnesota—recent polling shows Lewis and Smith are statistically tied.
