Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police Endorses Lewis for U.S. Senate
September 10th, 2020
EAGAN, Minn. — This week, the Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police endorsed Jason Lewis for U.S. Senate, citing his commitment to support legislation in line with the needs of law enforcement officers across the state of Minnesota.
“Our police officers are public servants and deserve our full support,” Lewis said. “By placing value in the radical defund the police movement, Democratic politicians like Tina Smith continue to diminish the sacrifice each of our officers make to keep us safe and are helping fuel dangerous anti-police rhetoric in Minnesota and across the nation. I am incredibly grateful to the Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police for their endorsement and am proud to support our men and women in blue.”
“We are proud to endorse Jason Lewis for U.S. Senate, and we know he will be a champion for Minnesota law enforcement in Congress,” said Matthew Hagen, Minnesota State President of the Fraternal Order of Police. “With Jason Lewis in Washington, each one of our more than 2,500 members know there will be a person looking out for them, the same way our hardworking law enforcement officers look out for our communities and citizens each and every time they put on their uniform.”
