President Trump Endorses Jason Lewis via Twitter
August 10th, 2020
EAGAN, Minn. — U.S. Senate candidate Jason Lewis released the following statement after President Donald Trump tweeted and reaffirmed his endorsement today. The President first endorsed Lewis in October 2019. Vice President Mike Pence has also endorsed Lewis.
The endorsement comes on the heels of the Lewis campaign announcing this morning new digital, radio and TV buys called “Personally Profiting,” aimed
at exposing Senator Tina Smith’s record of blocking COVID relief for
constituents, yet somehow still finding the time to dump $1 million
dollars’ worth of stock at the height of the pandemic.
“Today, President Donald Trump reaffirmed his ‘complete and total’
endorsement of my candidacy for U.S. Senate, showing once again that he
is all-in on Minnesota and all-in on our race to unseat the radically
liberal Tina Smith. As President Trump himself said when he first
endorsed me in October, Tina Smith ‘has never done a damn thing in the
Senate.’

I am so humbled by the support our campaign continues to receive from
the President. Both President Trump and Vice President Pence know this
is the most important election of our lifetime, both for Minnesota and
America as a whole. 2020 has turned into a choice between public safety
and anarchy, freedom and tyranny. We can’t afford to get this one
wrong.
Minnesotans are especially aware of what is on the line this election. We have seen firsthand the lawlessness and destruction that comes as a result of decades of failed Democratic leadership and progressive policies. Instead of standing up for personal liberties and public order, Democrats in power, including Senator Tina Smith, have caved to the woke mob by going along with calls to abolish the police. With the Democrats getting more radical by the day, Minnesota has turned into a major battleground state. Having only lost by just over one point in 2016, the President has proven a statewide victory for Minnesota Republicans is within our grasp. The latest polling even shows the race between President Trump and Joe Biden is a statistical tie. The Democrats are losing their grip on the state, and Minnesota is going to go red for President Trump and me this November!”
