Jason Lewis Announces Q3 Fundraising Results

  • Over $413,000 dollars raised, despite announcing his candidacy on August 22nd, after 60% of the fundraising quarter had already passed.
  • The Lewis campaign’s opening quarter was better than Senator Tina Smith’s opening quarter as a U.S. Senate candidate. 170% better, in fact.
  • The Lewis campaign is powered by small dollar, grassroots donations. 89.6% of our donations came from within Minnesota, with 65 counties represented. Only 0.4% of our dollars raised came from PAC contributions. Conversely, Tina Smith, friend of the corporate PACs and DC insiders, showed 43% of her donations coming from PACs in her last report. Furthermore, over 86% of Jason’s donations were less than $200 dollars.
  • Jason Lewis is a fiscal conservative, having spent only 13% of the money that has been raised so far.
  • As evidenced by this email from Tina Smith, she was scared of the Lewis campaign raising $200k. We more than doubled that figure.

“Raising over $400,000 dollars in just over a month combined with President Trump’s enthusiastic endorsement last week clearly shows strong momentum for Jason Lewis’ candidacy,” said Szymanski.

“The last fundraising report Tina Smith filed in the second quarter shows nearly half of the money she raised was from lobbyists, corporate PACs, and Washington insiders. Jason’s numbers show he has a groundswell of support on the ground from everyday Minnesotans. The special interests have picked their horse in this race – and it’s Tina Smith. Jason Lewis on the other hand is fighting for the issues that Minnesotans care about, like helping our farmers, fighting for good paying energy, mining and timber jobs, securing our borders, and protecting our individual liberties and Constitutional rights against the radical Democrats. The numbers clearly reflect this,” Szymanski continued.
